Excursion to Capo Comino

Departure from the port of La Caletta slowly we head towards the village of Santa Lucia, where we will stop at the Tower, built in 1639 to defend the port, and the coast from barbarian invasions.The journey continues along the pine forest of Santa Lucia and admiring the wonderful seabed full of rocks, ravines and banks of posidonia, where you can see shoals of bream and small fish and then stop near Mandras with its characteristic Confetti beach , so called because it is made up of white pebbles with rounded shapes, which make this beach unique.Continuing the journey we will pass through Sa Ena and Sa Chitta and then head to the Red Island not before having visited with a short dive the plane dating back to World War II which lies at a depth of 8 meters, where you can admire the fabulous panorama and the legendary White Dunes, scenery of the film UNA MIDSUMMER NIGHT with Giancarlo Giannini and Mariangela Melato shot in 1980. Here after anchoring we can immerse ourselves in the wonderful clear and crystalline water to admire the seabed.Passage inside the Capo Comino pier, used in the 60s as a landing place for ships for the coal trade.

Departure from La Caletta towards Santa Lucia for a brief stop at the Tower, a characteristic symbol of the village to take some photographs or shots
of its seafront. Berchida we will pass in front of the dunes of Capo Comino, and its wonderful beach where inside its cove we can take a nice swim to admire the seabed and observe the wreck of a military plane from World War II from above.
